Alan “Tyrone” Bonds of Waterbury, Connecticut, Sadly passed away on August 31, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
Tyrone was born on June 24, 1959 in Worth, West Virginia to the late Leatha (Johnson) and Henry Bonds Sr. At an early age, Tyrone attended McDowell County Schools and attended Galilee Baptist Church in West Virginia. He then later went on and graduated from Kennedy High School of Waterbury, CT and also becoming a proud member of Zion Baptist Church. Tyrone was employed by the City of Waterbury as a school bus driver up until his retirement.
Tyrone loved his family unconditionally. He enjoyed his life to how he saw fit. He would smile and laugh constantly, that eventually rubbed off on everyone he encountered. Tyrone would joke with you even after just meeting you. He was the happiest when spending time traveling with his family making everlasting memories with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Tyrone’s love and infatuation for helicopters was out of this world. He would always find the time to watch them whenever he could. He would even, buy mini version from the store and have a ball controlling them. With all the love he had for helicopters God managed to give him his dream of taking his last ride in one before his passing.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife Donna of 38 years, sons Alan (Shakema) Bonds, Frederick (Kendra) Bonds, One daughter Donnise (Chantel) Bonds and Honorary son Kyle Henley all of Waterbury, Connecticut. Grandchildren Elyza, Elyas, Elyjah, Cha’Nyila. Sisters Louise (Rodney) Hairston of Princeton, West Virginia and Evelyn Haynes of Northfork, West Virginia. Brothers David (Karolynn) Bonds of Toledo, OH. Ricco (Latarsha) Bonds of Welch, West Virginia. Also survived by Sister-in- laws, Brother-in- laws and a host of nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Tyrone is predeceased in death by his son Jerell Trent, his three sisters Edna, Virgie, and Mildred and One brother Donald lee Bonds
A Celebration of Alan Tyrone’s life will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 in Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl Street Waterbury, Connecticut at 11am. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Colonial Funerals is handling the arrangements and James R. Sanders, Funeral Director. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
