Altanese Lewis

Altanese Lewis “Necee”, age 53, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on August 23, 2017. Born on February 10, 1964, in New Haven, the beloved daughter of Gloria Lewis-Walker of Derby and Vincent Lewis of West Haven. Cherished mother of Freeman Lewis, Tanese (Gerald) Graham, Carnell (DaLashon) Lewis, Roniesha Jefferson, Stephanee Lewis all of N.C., and Essence Dennis of New Haven. Survived by 2 stepsons Shyheim Smith and Wakeem Smith both of N.C. Survived by 3 sisters Vernell (Michael) Moore, Wanda (Robert) Robinson, Shalonda Gibbs; 2 brothers Vincent (Diane) Lewis, and Pastor John (Janice) Lewis all of Hamden. Survived by companion Joseph Melvin, stepmom Maria Lewis and stepdad Leon Walker, and 1 Godchild. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents Essie Pitts and Levi McLaurin and paternal grandparents John and Rose Lewis.
