AnnMarie America Arroyo entered eternal rest on August 18, 2021. She passed while sleeping peacefully in her home after battling challenging medical conditions.

AnnMarie was born on September 12, 1968 in Waterbury, CT to Neva Arroyo and the late Erasmo Arroyo. She was the oldest of three children and loved to be around her family. Her presence illuminated any room with her smile and contagious laughter. She brought joy to many with her loving personality and caring demeanor. AnnMarie’s battle with her health was a long and complicated journey. She found the courage and strength to push through each day all while putting the needs of others before her own. AnnMarie was truly the definition of strength, kindness and beauty. She will be deeply missed.

Besides her mother, AnnMarie is survived by her son Esteban Antonio Detanto, his companion Stephanie and her two daughters, Violet and Cecilia. AnnMarie’s greatest blessing is her first grandchild, Julianna Emmalea Detanto. She loved spending every moment with Julianna which brought immense joy, happiness and love into her life.

AnnMarie is also survived by her brothers, Javier and Alexander Arroyo. Her nephews Javier Jr and Alex Arroyo, and Kendall Sciola. Her only niece who was her confidant, Alexandria Arroyo, who affectionately called her mom . AnnMarie is survived by her loving aunt Alba Vazquez and her husband Jacob and her uncle Otto Arroyo and wife Silvia. She is also survived by her cousins whom she shared a special bond with each one: Jacob Jr, Liana and her husband Rafael, Carlos, Adrian and his wife Daisy, and Ivette.

The celebration of AnnMarie’s life will held at the Colonial Funerals 270 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT on Monday August 23 ^rd , 2021 between the hours of 4- 7 p.m. The burial will be held at the convenience of her family. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
