Anthony Jerome Redd

Anthony, also lovingly known as “Ant”, departed this life on Monday June 30th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT.

Anthony was born May 10th,1963 to the late Hezzie Redd Sr. and Katherine Richardson-Redd in New Haven, CT. He attended and graduated Richard C. Lee Highschool. He worked at Star Tire in New Haven, CT, for many years until his retirement.

Anthony was predeceased by his first love Darnell “Candy” Anderson; His parents, Hezzie Redd Sr. and Katherine Richardson-Redd; Son, DeWayne Redd Sr.; Daughter, Destiny Pervis; Brother; John Redd; Sisters, Deborah Redd-Smith, Paulette Redd, and Cynthia Redd.

Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memories, Sons, Samuel “Sam” Redd and Dustin Redd; “Daughter”, Stephanie Priestley; Brother and best friend Andre Redd; Brother, Hezzie “Sonny” Redd; Grandsons, DeWayne Redd Jr.; Derrell Redd; Chayce Redd and King Redd. Granddaughters, Kayden Pervis and Sa’niya Galan. God-Daughter, Aniyah Redd. He also leaves to cherish his memories a long legacy of; 27 Nieces and Nephews; 39 Great Nieces and Nephews, 1 Great-great Niece and an abundance of extended family, all too great to name one by one.

Anthony loved all with his WHOLE heart and will be greatly missed by all!

Calling hours for our beloved Anthony Jerome Redd will be held on Tuesday, July 15th at 10am for viewing and Funeral Service will start Promptly at 11:00 am and will be held at: Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Ave., Hamden, CT.
