Barbara Ann Askew

Barbara Ann Askew, age 67 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 31, 2023 in Bridgeport, CT. Barbara was born in Edgecombe County, North Carolina on December 13,1956 to the late Gladys Edwards and Buddy Vines. She was employed full time at the Follett Fairfield University Bookstore in Fairfield, CT until her retirement in April of 2022. Barbara loved her family, her friends, her church, and the family dog Charli. She will be missed by all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held Saturday January 13, 2024 at Holy Ghost Deliverance Cathedral, located at 705-707 Arctic Street Bridgeport, CT 06608. The viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Funeral service is at 10 a.m.. Burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery.
