Bettie Ann (Bell) Graham was born in Hemingway, South Carolina on Tuesday, July 3rd,1956 to the late Betty Bell and James Bell. Bettie, 68, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formally of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Novant Medical Center, of Charlotte, North Carolina, with her loving family by her side.

Bettie graduated from Richard C. Lee High School in New Haven, CT. She then went off to serve as a CNA for over 45+ years and earned numerous rewards for her amazing work ethic, even a trip to Myrtle beach. Bettie was a strong woman who was not afraid to share her thoughts and feelings. She loved to dance, travel, and spend time with family & friends. She was the embodiment of family and would love and treat you as such even if you weren’t a part of the family.

Loving Mother of Keisha (Christopher) Smith, Summer (Jerome) Lafayette, Morris Bell and bonus sons Julian (Courtney) Hammie and Brian Newton. Cherish grandmother of Kearie Robinson, Jaylan Lafayette, Simone Lafayette, Mya Bell, Micheal Straite, Zaria Funderburk, and Morris Bell Jr.

Beloved sister of Priscilla Bell Maysonet, Barbara Bell, Bobbie Bell, Gary (Karen) Bell, Terry Bell, and Joseph (Barbara) White. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Bettie was predeceased by Gerald Bell (Brother), Jimmy Bell (Brother), Joanne White (Sister) and John Graham (Husband)

A Celebration of Bettie’s Life will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home, 86, Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing from 10am-11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
