Bettye J Little

Bettye J Little born December 3rd 1944 died April 26th 2023. She graduated from Longville High School. She came to New Haven CT shortly after in the early 1960’s. She worked at St. Raphael’s Hospital for 35 years before retiring and coming to New Haven before marrying her husband Shelton of 54 years. She met her first girlfriend Gertrude Lopers, they were of a group of women called the Silver-Golden Girls. Whom met every 4th Monday to share a meal. In her day she was best known for selling Popular Club items.

A wake will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2023 from 4-6pm at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden CT. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday May 6, 2023 from 1-2pm at Colonial Funerals. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
