In Loving Memory of Bobby Dyrail Moore
Bobby Dyrail Moore, born in Greenville, N.C. on June 24, 1967, left this world on October 14, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 56 years old. Bobby was a shining star in the academic realm. He graduated at the top of his class from St. Martin De Porres School and James Hillhouse High School, showcasing his dedication and intellectual prowess. One of Bobby’s great joys was indulging in the excitement of game shows. Whether it was answering trivia questions or cheering on contestants, he found immense joy in the world of game shows. His enthusiasm and laughter brightened every room he entered. Above all, Bobby cherished his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, great uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and fashionista! His love and compassion knew no bounds, and his family was his anchor through life’s journey. It is no secret that Bobby faced the challenging battle of alcohol addiction, a struggle that highlighted both his vulnerability and strength. Despite the difficulties, he loved the Lord and constantly talked to Him about his lifestyle and choices. Bobby’s journey serves as a testament to the complexity of the human spirit. In addition to his parents, Dennis & Helen Moore, Bobby is survived by his two children, Darius & Lillie, four grandchildren, Dyrail JR.,Dior, Jada, and Jaden; two sisters, Angela (Keith) & Natasha; eight nieces and nephews, Marquel, Alexis, Tasheena, Michael JR., Brianna, Keith JR (Jasmine), James and Chanell; five great nieces & nephews, Emir, Ansley, Grey, Jameson, and Kamari; three God-siblings, Scott, Erica, and Tangier; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; Special aunt, Bessie (Robert); Special Barber, Gary Gates; and six bonus children, Danielle, Aquila, Javis, Star, Nicole, and Sheila. Bobby was predeceased by his son, Dyrail; his maternal grandparents, Jimmy Lee & Helen Ruth Edwards; paternal grandparents, Willie & Lucinda Moore; Aunt Ellen, Aunt Grey, and Uncle Jimmy, and Uncle Willie; and cousin Timothy. Bobby will be dearly missed by his extended family, friends, and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at his home church, Faith Temple Revival Center, 834 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT. The calling hours will be from 9:00 a.m-10:00 a.m. and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and honoring a life well-lived.
