Brittany Jones

Brittany Jones, 34, of New Haven CT transitioned from this life on Tuesday February 23, 2022. Brittany was born on January 3, 1988 to the parents Kelly Green, Vincent Lightborn and Daryl Jones of New Haven CT. Brittany graduated from James Hillhouse High School in 2006 as a profession she happily served the elderly in healthcare as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Although Brittany was not an active church member she attended worship services at Bethel AME church. At a young age Brittany was a member of various organizations at Bethel AME  such as junior choir, junior usher board, Young People Division (YPD) and church school. Brittany was always the life of the party; a bright spark in this world that will be deeply missed by many. Brittany had an unforgettable presence and personality that will forever continue to bring joy and laughter to everyone she touched. Brittany loved her family and friends in great measure. Brittany leaves to cherish her memory: three beautiful daughters Kaiona Spears, Audreay Fitzgerald and Erin Fitzgerald. Her mother, Fathers, Grandmother Priscilla Darden, Preceded in death by Grandfather Richard A. Green Jr. (Ada “Mama Ada” Green), Grandmother Sylvia Lightborn, Grandfather Ken Jones (Brenda). Sisters Audreay Green Ariel Barber, Raina Barber and Alexandra Dudley, Brothers Lamar Jones (Tiffanie), Robert “Manny” Carter, Eric Wright, Michael “Vinny” Dudley  and beloved Aunt Karen Cypress affectionately known as “Titi”. As well as a host of relatives. Brittany will be forever loved, adored, and honored by her loved ones and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Bethel AME Church, 255 Goffe Street, New Haven CT 06511. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
