Caleb E Davis

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Caleb Elisha Davis, who departed this life on August 28, 2025. Born on September 4, 1978, Caleb was a vibrant soul whose presence could light up any room. Caleb’s energy, humor, and warmth were unforgettable. Caleb is survived by his devoted grandmother, Margaret Young, who was a guiding light throughout his life. Caleb was the beloved son of Elijah and Joyce Davis, and a cherished brother to Kezia, Leah, and Elijah III. He was a proud father to his six children: Caleb, Nasir, Arianna, Cayla, Kamiyah, and Justice. His love for them ran deep, and they were his greatest joy and legacy. Caleb is also survived by his loving family, including a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss his infectious smile, spontaneous jokes, and larger-than-life presence. Though imperfect, as we all are, Caleb was beautifully human—flawed but full of heart, laughter, and an unshakable spirit. He lived boldly, loved fiercely, and left memories that will be treasured forever. As we remember Caleb, we celebrate a life lived loudly and with passion. His story reminds us that beauty often lies in imperfection and that love, at its core, is what binds us all.

A celebration of Caleb’s life will be held on Saturday September 6, 2025 at 4pm at Colonial Funerals 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. Viewing at Colonial from 3-4pm. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.

A Poem for Caleb “Flawed but Beautiful” You danced through life in your own unique way, With laughter and love that brightened each day. A heart so big, a smile so wide, You lived out loud, with nothing to hide. Through highs and lows, you still stood tall, Not perfect, no—but loved by all. You left behind a trail of light, That even death cannot make night. So we’ll laugh like you did, loud and free, And carry your spirit in all that will be. Your name, your joy, your fearless grace, Forever live on in time and space.
