Carlton Anthony Barrett S r. , the son of Lloyd Victor Barrett Sr. and Norma Clark, was born in Montego Bay Jamaica on August 20, 1962. He sadly departed his earthly life on December 28, 2023 at the age of 62. Carl mi grated to the United States in 1972 when he was 10 years old. There he lived in Bethany Connecticut with his father Lloyd and Stepmother Sandra Lee Barrett and his mother Norma . He attended and graduated from Amity High School where he actively participated in football and ran track. He was a member of the Boys Scout of America. Among Carl’s many passions was his love of people and spending time with his family and friends. He earned the nick name “Wildman Steve” Carl became a pastor and he loved the Lord. He also p u rsued a caree r in Accounting . Carl was proud of his Jamaican Heritage and loved the bonds of a close knit family, especially with his children. His hearty laugh has left an indelible mark on his community. His spirit characterized by his generosity, warmth and a genuine love for life, will continue to live in the hearts of his family, friends and all the lives he touched. He was the loving father of Carlton Anthony Barrett Jr. and Langston Barrett. In addition to his children, Carl leaves to cherish his memories , one daughter-in-Law, his f ather Lloyd Barrett, mother Norma Clark, Stepmother Sandra Barrett , brothers Herbert, Raymond, Lloyd Jr, (Wendy) and Kenneth (Faith). Sisters Jacqueline and Catherine (Michael) Nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 1pm at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden, CT. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
