Carol R Joyner

Carol Joyner, age 60, of New Haven, passed away on March 3, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born on September 10 ^th , 1964, in New Haven, the daughter of the late Edward Spears and the late Betty Joyner. She was a fun loving person. She really loved her family and always tried to keep up with them. Carol had been employed at St. Raphael’s Hospital and later before her illness at Aides and Companions. She loved to knit, dance, and socialize with everyone she came in contact with. Carol was pre – deceased by her brother Jerry Joyner Nathaniel Spears and Paul Mccotter. She leaves behind her sister Janet Wilson (William), step sisters Diane Megadden and Patrica Long (Mike). Brothers James Spears (Karen) and Steven Joyner, step brother Harold Lee Lewis. Carol was pre-deceased by her daughter Shalonda Joyner. She leaves behind a daughter Dominque Ward and grandson Jeffery Jones, great granddaughter she also leaves a host uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and cousins and friend. Carol will be loved and truly missed. She leaves behind a special friend Loretta Britt. She will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Carol’s life on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
