Charles Davis Jr. aka “Uncle Bro”

Bro was born on May 12, 1945 in Harnett County, North Carolina to the late Ella Ree Davis and Charles Davis Sr. Charles entered into eternal life suddenly on Sunday, April 26, 2020. He resided in New Haven, CT. He loved to sing, drink his brandy and listen to old school music while he bopped around. He enjoyed most to be around his loving family, cracking jokes and having fun. Also, how could we ever forget the Don King hair and wool hat that he sported no matter the season, a style only he could pull off. His smile and funny laugh were contagious and will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his special niece who was like a daughter to him, his caregiver and whom rode for him through thick and thin, Vonda Franklin (Fiancé Terrell Jones). Five sisters caregiver, Claretha Davis Franklin; Mary Swain; Charlotte Daluze; Betty Battes Davis, Diane Davis; and one brother, Darnell Davis. Also his children and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thanks to his nurse Lori Camposano.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Billy Ray Davis, Ivey Lee Davis, Leroy Davis, and one sister Terry Davis.

Psalms 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me
