Chaz Pierre (Poole) Black

On September 9 ^th , 2021, Chaz entered eternal rest at Yale New Haven Hospital. Chaz was born on September 18, 1987 in New Haven to Darnez Poole and Warren Wright. He grew up in West Haven and was employed by Pest RX and Home Depot for many years. He will be remembered for his funny, smiling and witty ways. Always had a good joke and a great appetite!

He was a loving and devoted father to Karter, Kaydin (Melissa) and Ariana-Star (Melinda). He is survived by his mother Darnez Poole and father Reginald Lewis. His sister Sheena Zmuda (Joseph) and half-siblings, Monica Rosa, Warren Hyatt, Brandy Wright and Barbara Merchant. His uncle Augustus Poole III (Shawn) and aunt Dana Poole. His only nephew, Aiden Zmuda. Also, a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Katherine B. Heyward-Bonilla. His grandmother’s Catherine M Poole-Stewart and Mamie Wright. His grandfather’s Augustus Poole, Jr and Alexander Stewart. And his step-dad, Keith Hall.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 18, 2021 at Colonial Funerals at 11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
