Christopher Jerome Garvin Sr.

Christopher Jerome Garvin Sr. was born January, 28, 1969 at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven Connecticut to the Willie Frank Garvin and Eva Reeves Garvin. Christopher departed this life on August 20, 2023.

Christopher was educated in New Haven, which he attended The Sound School. He worked as a Burns construction worker throughout his life in Connecticut and was a member of Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, which he served on the Junior Usher Board.

Christopher was predeceased by his parents, Willie Frank Garvin and Eva Reeves Garvin,  a sister Geneva “Bobbi” Robinson, a brother Michael A Garvin. Christopher leaves to cherish his memory a son Christopher J. Garvin Jr., a daughter Crystal R. Garvin, two brothers Willie Jr., Nathan “Butch’ (Janette) Reeves of Clinton, Connecticut. He also leaves one sister Jeanine Garvin and God-sister Alice Smith all of New Haven; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends,

A Celebration of Christopher’s life will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com .
