Christopher E. Penn Jr.

Christopher E. Penn Jr. was born on March 1, 1961. He entered eternal rest on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at the age of 61. Born in New Haven to the late Christopher Penn Sr. and Shirley Penn-Bustion. He worked at G&W Home Improvement and attended Mt. Hope Temple in New Haven. He enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, spending time with his grandchildren, helping his church family, and hanging with little brother Willie “Juicy” Penn.

Christopher is survived by his children Nikinyia Cooke, Sean (Kenisha) Jenkins, Shatarra (Aaron) Williams, Joseph Troche, Maria Troche, Lora Troche, and Christian (Tiana) Jenkins. 10 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, 2 great grandchildren, and wife Luz Ramos. He also leaves to cherish his memories, brother’s Percy Penn, Donnell Counsel, Willie (Georgette) Penn Counsel, Eddie (Wendy) Penn and brother-in-law Thomas Bennett. Sisters Consuela Laurent, Carnetta Penn, and Markisha Penn. Special daughter, Steffon Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

He is predeceased by his parents Christopher and Shirley Penn, sons Willie Troche, Christopher Jenkins. Sisters Hyacinthe Penn, Billette Bennett, and brother-in-law Oliver Laurent.

A Celebration of Christopher’s life will be held on Friday September 30, 2022, in Ebenezer Chapel, 50 Dwight Street, N.H at 11 O’clock. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. Interment will be at Hamden Plains Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
