Our beloved Corey Brown left us suddenly on May 17 th , 2024. He was born on February 24 th , 1971 to Brenda Tarver and the late John Lee Brown in Augusta Geogia.
He spent his formative years in Davisboro , Geogia. Corey loved spending time with his stepfather Alto Tarver and his best friend Irvin Carter.
Corey was a hard worke r. Recently, Corey went to school to get his trucking license. He was excited to start driving trucks down south this fall. During his free time, he liked to go fishing.
Above all, Corey was a devoted father to his son Corey Brown Jr. and to his da ughter Jazmine Brown of New Haven, CT. Corey was so excited to see Jazmine go to prom, graduate from High School and attend her first year of college at Albertus Magnus College .
Corey was survived by his wife of forty-two years Jacqueline Brown.
Additionally, Corey was survived by an abundance of family including his sisters Towanda Brown of New Haven, CT and his sister Shatavia Latimore of Sandersville, Georgia. N ieces ; Shalaysia Brown, Nyonna Moreau, NyJuan Brown, Jayla LaSane of New Haven, CT. Nephews; Kanjie Tinsley and Kylee Tinsley. Aunts; Burina Brown, Sharon Dudley, and Angelea Dudley.
Corey was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Dudley and Quincy Williams of Sandersville, Georgi a , and his paternal grandparents Tobby and Lupia Brown of Davisboro , Georgia. Aunts; Annie Laura, Patricia Simpson, Sarah Swint and Betty Wimberley.
A celebration of Corey’s life will be h eld on Friday, May 31 st , 2024 at 12 p.m at Bethel Temple Church of God, 12 Frank Street New Haven CT. Viewing in Church from 11-12pm. A Repast will be at the Bethel Temple Church of God . Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
