In Loving Memory of Dale Cabiness Jr.
Dale Frederick Cabiness Jr.
Sunrise: June 13, 1985

New Haven, Connecticut
With profound love and heartfelt remembrance, we celebrate the life of Dale Frederick Cabiness Jr., a devoted son, brother, father, nephew, cousin and friend whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Born on June 13, 1985, in New Haven, Connecticut, Dale was the beloved son of Genita A. Santos and Dale Frederick “Zeno” Cabiness Sr. He was educated in the New Haven Public and Catholic School Systems and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed the confidence and charisma that became part of who he was.
Dale took pride in his appearance and believed in stepping out looking his best. If you knew him, you knew he stayed “casket sharp” and could “put that on.” Whether in a tailored suit and overcoat or dressed casually in fresh sneakers and a sweatsuit, he carried himself with confidence and style. It was never just about fashion—it was about dignity, presence, and pride.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Dale attended trucking school and earned his CDL. He embraced the trucking industry with determination and a strong sense of responsibility, understanding the value of honest work.
Dale also carried the entrepreneurial spirit of his great-grandfather. Determined to build something of his own, he started a tire business, CT Tire Guys, demonstrating independence, ambition, and a willingness to create opportunity rather than wait for it.
Beyond his work ethic and outside of work, Dale enjoyed the freedom and the thrill of riding motorcycles. Being on his bike was something that he truly loved —the thrill of the open road, the sense of movement and the peace that it brought him. It was one of the many ways that he embraced life and lived it out loud.
Dale was the heartbeat of laughter in his family. Naturally funny, he had a way of keeping everyone smiling with his jokes and the insider nicknames he gave to those he loved. Those moments of laughter and love will forever echo in the hearts of his family.
Dale loved his family deeply. He never chose sides or fed division—he simply loved. His loyalty was quiet but unwavering, and he valued connection and peace among those he cared about most.
Above all, the apple of his eye and his greatest pride was his daughter, Gyzele She was his heart and his motivation, and the love he had for her was evident in everything he did.
Dale shared a special bond with his brother, Robert Santos, and his sister, Denise Gardner, his cousins Dennis Smith, Keem Moye and Christopher Murrell; Dale held deep love for his entire family especially his aunts and cousins…who were more like brothers and sisters. His strength, humor, loyalty, entrepreneurial spirit, and unforgettable presence will always be remembered.
Besides his parents Dale leaves to cherish his memory: stepfather, Douglas Gardner; brother, Robert Santos; sisters, Denise Gardner and Dalneine Cabiness; daughter, Gyzele Cabiness; Godsons, MeKei Scott and Pharele Crutchfield; his special uncle, Robert “Muncy” Ragland; paternal grandfather, Arthur White; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
Dale was predeceased by his maternal great-grandmothers Mamie Lee Hardy Moye and Sadie Brown, maternal great-grandfather John Brown, maternal grandmother Barbara Moye, maternal grandfather Kenneth Isadore Santos, and paternal grandmother Pauline Ragland White.
Though his earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, and legacy he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Rest peacefully, Dale. Your style, your jokes, your hustle, and your love will never fade.
The family kindly requests that service attendees wear shades of blue.
