Darlene Frances Mazon

Darlene Frances Mazon, age 59, of Waterbury, CT born November 13, 1964 and entered eternal rest May 31, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Mazon was the daughter of the late Deacon David C. Riddick and Frances Marie Montero- Jamison. Darlene was educated in the Waterbury school system, she graduated from Croft Highschool. Upon graduation she then went on to work at Peter and Paul Cadbury of Naugatuck. In her spare time Darlene loved mentoring people, making jewelry, collecting pictures, nurturing plants and “running the street”. In addition to her mother and father, Darlene leaves behind her oldest daughter Mariah Montgomery (Shakeria) and her youngest daughter Mercedes Johnson (Moe). Darlene leaves behind her two grandchildren Skylar Johnson and Koree Johnson, she also leaves behind her two fur grandchildren Khloe and Mocha. Her two sisters Jacqueline Mazon- Baldwin (James) of Cary, NC, her lifeline Lori Thomas (Theodis) of Waterbury, CT and her brother Derek Riddick (Sofia) of Waterbury, CT. She also leaves behind her Sister In Law Jennifer Mazon Lehigh Acres,FL She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews, a host of friends and extended family. Predeceased by her sister Justina “Juicy” Johnson and her brother Charles Mazon Jr. “Pete”, her brother Daniel Riddick, her aunt Mary “Tootsie” Monteiro-Smith and her grandmother Mary Monteiro “Gammie”.

A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held on Thursday June 6, 2024 at 9am Zion Baptist Church 137 Pearl Street Waterbury, CT.
