David William Darden

David “Beaver” William Darden, beloved son of Willie Darden and Priscilla Darden, was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on October 21, 1958. David gained his wings at Yale New Haven Hospital on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

David leaves to continue his legacy, his loving wife, Ernestine Darden; Daughter Erika Malloy (Jimmie); Step sons Germar Bember and Nigel Bember; Sisters, Cledyth Ralls, Pamela Moore, Renee Darden, Lydia Humbert, Kelly Green, Victoria Darden and Willie Mae McCarter; Brothers, Willie Earl Darden and Stacie Harris; Grandchildren Jayla Bittle, Jimmie Malloy III; Step-grandchildren,Raven Daniels, Ny’eja Bember, Ty’Jair Bember, Tyhetti Bember, Leila Watkins, London Rogers and Terrence Bember; Step Great-grandchildren Reagan Daniels and Rayne Daniels; and a host of relatives and friendDavid was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Mary McCoter and Willie Jones; Maternal grandparents Cledyth Moore and David Moore; Mother in-law Reathea Bember; and Niece Brittany Jones.

A celebration of life and legacy is planned for Saturday, December 3rd at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ, 285 Dixwell Avenue, New Haven, CT 06511. A wake and viewing will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am. Services will start at 11:00am. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
