David Timothy Floyd

David Timothy Floyd, 80, of New Haven passed away peacefully surrounded by family Friday, March 16, 2018. David was born in Shorter, Alabama to the late Spenser and Ethel Floyd on November 1, 1937.  He retired from Alloy Foundries (Naugatuck, Ct.) after working for 30 years and later retired from St. Raphael Hospital (New Haven, Ct.) in Environmental Service after being employed for 15 years. David leaves to cherish his memory, four daughters Gladys Crawford-Madison, WI, Alice Burney-New Haven, CT., Jacqueline (Johnnie) Hines- West Haven, Ct. and Ethel (Kenyatta) Harris-West Haven, Ct., siblings Barbara (Isaac) Jackson, Mary Jones, Willie (Linda) Floyd, McArthur Floyd, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife Alice Floyd, brothers Thomas Floyd, Samuel Floyd and Harold Floyd.

A celebration of his life will take place Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Lawrence Street, New Haven.  Viewing from 8 a.m.-9 a.m. and service begins at 9 a.m.  Interment will be at Centerville Cemetery.  Services conducted by Colonial, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden.
