David Galberth Jr.

In the early hours of July 21, 2026, as the world was still, David Galberth peacefully departed this life, embracing eternal rest at the age of 69. Born on March 24, 1957 in New Haven, CT, he embodied a spirit woven with strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion, illuminating the lives of all who knew him.

After graduating from Wilbur Cross High School in 1975, he later served his country in the United States Armed Forces. His military service was a testament to his courage and selflessness, traits that defined his character throughout his life. With dignity and pride, he walked through life, earning the respect and admiration of those fortunate enough to cross his path.

Following his military chapter, David dedicated himself to the skies at Pratt & Whitney's Aerospace Company, where his commitment to excellence echoed through every project he undertook. His work was not just a job; it reflected his relentless spirit and passion. Outside of his professional life, David found joy in various hobbies that brought him closer to loved ones. He relished bowling, enjoyed attending gatherings with family and friends, and often spent time at the casino, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air, further illustrating the vibrant spirit that defined his life.

David was embraced by the love of his cherished parents, Toby and Margaret Galberth, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved siblings, Maurice, Doreen, and Donna. Yet, his legacy lives on through his loving brothers, John, Kevin, and Keith, and his devoted sisters, Helen and Priscilla, who carry his spirit forward. And his beloved grandson, King.

At the heart of David's being was his family, the true essence of his joy and fulfillment. He leaves behind Ora Jacobs, the beloved mother of his children, with whom he shared countless treasured memories. Their legacy continues in his four beautiful children, David III, Maurice, Alexis, and Jermaine, who embody the love and warmth he imparted throughout their lives.

David also basked in the joy of being a proud grandfather to Tyzhon, Tyzhae, David IV, Dante, Damont, Maurice Jr., Nyla, Nytikka, Jermaira, Noah, Jermaine Jr., and Jasmine. He also has two great grandchildren, Kaymir and Kyzer. Each grandchild and great grandchild held a unique place in his heart, bringing him immeasurable pride and joy.

Beyond his immediate family, David's spirit will continue to radiate through a network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom will forever cherish his memory and the profound impact he made on their lives. Ultimately, David's life was a testament to perseverance, service, and unconditional love. Though he has moved beyond our sight, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those he loved and in the countless lives he touched.

The Funeral Services for David Galberth, Jr. will be held on Friday, August 7th at 10am at Trinity Temple, located at 285 Dixwell Avenue. Viewing in Church from 9-10am. Burial to follow at The State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
