David William Mcclure Sr.

David William McClure Sr., age 84, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Advanced Center for Nursing in New Haven. He was born on May 30, 1935 in New Bern, North Carolina, son of the late John and Mary (White) McClure. Beloved husband of Zina (Cash) McClure of New Haven for over 21 years. Loving father of Pastor David (Ruthie) McClure Jr. of New Haven, Allison (Peter) Reyes of Meriden, Douglas (Tiffany) McClure of CA., Gwendolyn McClure of New Haven, Tamika (Steven) Williams of New Haven, Whitney Cash of New Haven. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by two daughters Rosalyn and Stephanie. Predeceased by one grandson Tyshawn Cash. Predeceased by seven sisters Elizabeth, Tate, Catherine Grant, Catherine Anderson, Gloria Baskerville, Leatrice Malloy, and Francine McClease. Predeceased by one brother Royal McClease.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at United House of Prayer for All People, 100 Dixwell Avenue at 9:30am. Interment will be on Monday November 25, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery at 10am. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
