David Burke O'Mara

David Burke O’Mara, Jr. 58, passed away December 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1967 in New Haven, son of the late David Burke O’Mara, Sr. and Annette (Esposito) Prodoti.

David is survived by his daughter Ashley O’Mara; grandchildren, Keenan Blake Orosz, and Xander Andrew – David O’Mara; siblings Jeffrey O’Mara (Rosalee), Joseph O’Mara(Deneen) and Helene O’Mara(Joseph Burwell); and his nieces and nephews David Patrick O’Mara (Jess), Nicole Burwell, Melissa Burwell, and Joseph O’Mara. He also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and co-workers. David was a master roofer, he was fearless at his job and an extremely hard worker. He completed roofing jobs for many years all over the state of Connecticut with Southern Connecticut Restoration and DA Roofing of Branford, CT. He loved fishing, music, and all sports, he was kind, gentle, funny, and easy going.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 10am until noon at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden. Funeral Services will start at 12pm. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
