Deacon Thaddeus M. Henry

A faithful man of the kingdom of God, a single father, brother, uncle, grandfather and a friend to many.

Thaddeus Henry the eldest son of the late Virginia Henry and Conrad Hobby of New Haven CT. Thaddeus was a faithful member of Uttermost Deliverance Restoration Ministries since 2008, under the leadership of Pastor Robert J. Hemingway where he served on the deacon board. I can recall the excitement he felt when he gave Christ his life, how he then began to share it with everyone in hopes of them finding Christ as well, he shared the good news. Thaddeus attended the New Haven public school system, Welch Annex, Fair Haven, and Cross High School, Thaddeus grew up in the Quinnipiac housing projects where he had many friends that were all like family.

Thaddeus known as “Thadd” for short was employed at Cross Roads and Yale University for many years. He enjoyed serving the Lord, his family, fishing and cooking was a family trait.

Thaddeus leaves to cherish his memory brothers Daryl and Curtis Henry, Micheal Hobby, and Ronald Miller of Hamden CT. Sisters Dannette Minder, and Purdence Pettaway of New Haven CT, and Conneatta Cummings of Hamden CT. His beloved children James Bowman, Allise Lowery, Yolanda Bowman, Thaddeus Lowery, Aaron,  Deyonna, Shakira, Thaddeus Henry Jr,  Bevon Kitchens, Xavier Baldwin, and Malik Henry all of New Haven CT. His bonus son Marquise Lowery, 14 grandchildren, 5 granddaughters and 9 grandsons and his best friend Elder Paul Evans.

Thaddeus was predeceased by his parents Virgina and Conrad, Sister Delzenia Henry, his maternal grandparents Elise Henry Kelley Shepherd and Benny Henry.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday February 13th, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at New Antioch Church located at 65 Burban Drive Branford CT. Viewing will be held in church from 10 am to 11 am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolence may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
