Dennis Earl Crenshaw “D-DOG”, 63, of New Haven, CT entered eternal life on May 19th, 2024. Dennis was born in New Haven, CT, on July 19, 1960. He graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, CT, and was a long-time employee of Yale University. Throughout his adulthood, Dennis, aka D-Dog (Bareta), to the Newhaville neighborhood, worked many jobs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, crack jokes, cook on the grill, and sit on the porch with his row dog Chloe (pet). His life will forever be cherished by loved ones including his wife Carolina Crenshaw, stepson Jamel Crenshaw, twin sister Denise Barnes (Dennis), his sister Charlene Crenshaw, his brother Steven Crenshaw, his grand children: Jamarie Crenshaw, Brooklyn Crenshaw, Miley Crenshaw, and Cash Crenshaw, and a host of loving nieces,nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann M. Crenshaw and his son Jamar E. Crenshaw.

A Celebration for the life of Dennis Crenshaw will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at Colonial Funerals, located at 86 Circular Ave, Hamden, CT. The viewing will be held at 10 AM, followed by the service promptly at 11 AM. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
