Derrick Mims Sr.

Derrick Mims Sr, age 51, of New Haven Ct, departed this life on March 10, 2025. Predeceased by his father Leroy Mims and survived by his beloved mother Gloria Mims. He leaves his children to cherish his memories Derrick Mims Jr., Kaison Mims, Marlon Mims,Tarryn Sanai Mims, Anijah Jones and Truly Mims all of Connecticut. A special God Son Aaron Driffen-Smith.  He also leaves his sister’s Tawanza McLean, Charrise Driffen, Laquavia Dyquett, Rebecca Torres, and Cena Parker

A celebration of Derrick’s life will be held on Friday March 21, 2025 at Colonial Funerals 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden CT. Service will start at 11:00am. Viewing at Colonial from 10am-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
