Desi Ray Kelly

Desi Ray Kelly entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, surrounded by his family. Desi was born September 9, 1959, in New Haven, CT to the late Wilma J. Hawkins-Kelly and Robert L. Kelly, Sr.

Desi attended New Haven Public School and went on to work for Yale University and Yale New Haven hospital for approximately 25 years. Desi was talented and skillful with design ing . He was great at painting, laying flooring and other home improvement projects. Desi laid beautiful flooring at 50 Cent’s house in Farmington, CT in addition to many other exceptional home improvement projects. Also, Desi was a certified mech an ic.

Desi’s first church he joined was Deliverance Temple, New Haven, CT where he received C hrist as his savior. Desi had an infectious smile and was very giving; willing to help anyone in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren and loved being around his family. Desi loved listening to all kinds of music.

D esi was predeceased in death by a favorite aunt , Enetta Kelly. Desi leaves to cherish loving memories, his children, Latresa T. Murphy and Desirae V. Kelly; grandchildren K’alah, Chanze, Lilah, Mason, Mariah and Royelle, whom he loved dearly. He also leaves to cherish 3 sisters Cherry Hawkins, Deborah K. Stuckey (Wayne), Cynthia Hawkins and 3 brothers Robert Kelly (Darlene), Mark Kelly and Larry Kelly; a special friend, Eileen Bouman and her family and grandchildren; and a host of other relatives , nieces and nephews , and friends all whom he loved .
