Diana R. (Yost) Cappellina

Diana R. (Yost) Cappellina, age 72, of Waterbury, entered into eternal life on Saturday June 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Waterbury on May 8, 1947, to the late Louis and Rita (Ricard) Yost. She was the beloved wife of Edward “Butch” Cappellina Sr. for over 55 years. Diana is survived by her 4 daughters, Michele Iarrapino and her husband Mickey of Wolcott, Dawn Tessarzik and her husband Kenneth of Terryville, Lisa Shatas and her husband Michael of Wolcott, Deborah Cappellina of Waterbury, and her son, Edward Cappellina Jr. and his wife Sarah of Cheshire. Diana also leaves behind her sister-in-law Ann Yost of Waterbury, brother-in-law Anthony Cappellina and his wife Barbara of FL as well as 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 4 nephews, and of course Boston and Ruby, her “grandchildren” of the canine variety. She was predeceased by one brother Richard Yost.

As well as being the dedicated and respected family Matriarch, Diana also enjoyed dancing, good wine, watching sports, and most of all she loved spending time with her large but close nit family.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday June 7, 2019 at Colonial of Waterbury, 270 West Main St., Waterbury from 11am-12pm. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30am. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
