Dillon Blair Jones Cornelius

On October 8, 2006, this world was blessed with the birth of Dillon Blair Jones Cornelius, to Kelli Jones and Wink Cornelius. He departed this life on August 17, 2025. He was a native of New Haven, CT who relocated to the Carolinas.

Dillon has always done his own thing, even as a young child when he was an adventurous, independent loner. He didn’t need to follow the crowd yet was a light within the crowd. He had a love for travel, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and jokes. He was a hard worker and diligent in whatever he focused on. Once he decided, there was no changing his mind. He was an avid gamer, who loved his video games. His love, respect and desire to make sure his Mom aka, OG. aka, Momma Kellz was taken care of was remarkable.

Being the leader he is, Dillon graduated from Tar River Academy, North Carolina, June 2025, at the top of his class. He was scheduled to begin Nash Central Community College this upcoming Fall and currently worked at Wal-Mart.

Dillon is survived by his mother; Kelli Jones and father; Wink Cornelius. Brothers; Kijanna Cornelius, Jaheil Hampton and Tylonn Omer. His maternal grandmother; Peggy K. Jones.

Uncles; Gregory Jones (Frances), Conrad Jones (Theresa), Jeffrey Jones, and Teddy Cornelius, Aunt; Veronica Cornellus, And a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly,

Dillon was predeceased by his maternal grandfather; Samuel Jones paternal grandparents;

Shelley Mae Green Cornellus and Virgil L, Cornellus, Maternal uncle; Samuel Rufus Jones and maternal cousin; Conrad Jones, Jr.

Dillon was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Dillon’s life will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 9am at Agape Christian Center 90 Goffe Street, New Haven, CT. Viewing in Church from 8-9am. Burial to follow at Beaverdale Memoria Park, New Haven, CT. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
