Dionisio Figueroa

Dionisio "Alex" Figueroa passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, on July 21, and was the beloved son of the late Dionisio and Luisa Figueroa Bonilla.

Alex was a lifelong resident of Waterbury and was known for his love and devotion to his family. He was a cherished father, brother, and uncle who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.

He is survived by his two children, Irma Figueroa and Alexander Figueroa; and by his six siblings, Luis Figueroa, Domingo Figueroa, Awilda Figueroa, Irma Figueroa, Gely Figueroa, and Ana Figueroa.

Alex will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed by all who knew him. This is not goodbye, but rather farewell until we meet again.

A celebration of Alex's life will be held on Saturday, June 13th at Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main St., Waterbury. Viewing will take place from 10-12pm with a service to follow at 12pm. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com
