Earl Edwin Jackson 87 years old was  born to William Howard Jackson and Margaret Anna Jaynes Jackson on May 30, 1933 In New Haven, Ct. He was one of eight children. Earl lived in New Haven, Ct. Attended public schools in the city. He showed a creative interest in drawing and cooking. Earl and his brother Arthur were featured in the city newspaper for their drawings of Disney characters on the walls of Yale New Haven Hospital Children’s Center. He also loved to draw animals. Earl was a great cook. He worked for MAE Coleman Catering for many years and was a mover for Cohen Powell Moving Company until he retired.

Earl was a loving husband to Sandra Miller for 54 years and he was a caring father to his children Patricia- Miller Byam, Michelle Miller and Walter (Shelly) Miller.  He loved and cared about his family and extended family with all his heart. He was preceded in death by: his parents William Howard Jackson and Margaret Anna Jaynes Jackson.  His siblings and his in- laws.  Evelyn ( Alfred) Rogers, Liz (Alex) Melton, Sandra (Horace) Melton, William (Doris) Jackson, Clifford Jackson, Arthur Jaynes, his best buddies Curt , his nephew Randy Jackson and  Grandson – Jordan Dexter Miller.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Sandra Miller, his children Patricia Miller – Byam, Michelle Miller, and Walter Miller. 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, His beloved sister Linda Pickens and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Earl’s life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Avenue at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
