Edward Earl Dingle, 42, affectionately known as BUD, departed this life suddenly on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born to Colleena M. Dingle-Hicks and the Late Edward Earl Mundy Sr. on April 25, 1980 in New Haven, CT.
Edward is a graduate of the New Haven Public Schools. He worked as a counselor at the Columbus House. He is known for being a very intellectual writer and comedian. Edward left a mark on everyone he crossed paths with in his journey.
Edward leaves to cherish his memories: his Mother, Colleena M. Dingle-Hicks, stepfather, Vernon Hicks, his son, True Abdullah Allah, daughter, Omyya Walker, 4 brothers: Edward Earl Mundy Jr, Johnathan (Jon Jon) Mundy, Rasheem Dingle (Quanella), and Rashon Dingle (Glenda), 5 sisters: Jasheema Mundy-Boone (Donald), Earlana (Bird) Mundy, Earlene Dingle-Rumley (Thomas), Ebonie Dingle and Brittney Dingle, 2 Stepsisters, Anola Hicks-Smith (Carlef) and Dorshawn Hicks, Great-Grandmother, Irene Lamar-Stringer, Special Friend, Talica L. Dickerson and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly.
Edward is predeceased by his father, Edward Earl Mundy Sr, maternal grandparents, Dorothy H. Dingle and Roosevelt Dingle Sr., paternal grandparents, Myrtle Mundy and Ulysses Mundy, and Stepbrother, Dayshawn Hicks.
A celebration of Edward’s life will be held on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 11am at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden, CT. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
