Eliza Rebecca Epps

Eliza Rebecca Epps, age 84, of New Haven, CT entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 22nd. She was born on January 7th, 1935 in Kingstree, SC. She was the daughter of the late Earline Burgess Moore (Queen Peterson). She leaves to cherish her memory ten children: Alexander Epps, Melvin Epps (Joye), Cleberta Mcfadden, Queen Epps, Eliza Durant, Cathy Epps-Samuels (Joseph), Jessalene Sullivan (Luther), Rebecca Epps, Kayren Fairman (Gary), Patsy Epps-Taitt (Roy), two sisters: Rebecca Peterson and Rosa Carmichael, thirty one grandchildren, thirty eight great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin Epps Sr, two children, Marvin Epps and Bernie Epps and five siblings: Nera Moore, Eloise Harmon, Thomas Moore, John Moore, and Katherine Moore.

A celebration of Eliza’s life will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at Shekinah Glory Apostolic Church 715 Dixell Ave New Haven, CT. Viewing in church will be 10-11am. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
