Elizabeth was born in Hartford, CT on October 32, 1927 to Jasper (Brother Ward) an Mami (Bell) Ward. She attended Hartford Public Schools and Brooklyn, NY. She worked at Children’s Center in New Haven, CT.

Over the years Elizabeth developed many lifelong friendships along her journey.

Proceeded in death by her beloved parents, Jasper (Brother Ward) Ward and Mami (Bell) Ward, her daughter Margaret (Paige) Naylor, her Son Peter Vaughn Ward, her brothers William (Champ) Ward, Lonnie Ward, Samuel Ward, Roosevelt Ward, her Sisters, Lola Young, Pearl Ward, Margaret Cobbins, her Grandson, Kenneth E. Turner Monroe. Elizabeth leaves behind four Children, Oliver N. Ward of San Antonio TX, Patricia L. Franklyn of Flint, MI, Juanita Tanya Ward-Bellamy of New Have, CT, Brian E. Ward. Two Daughter In Laws, Meko Ward of Waterbury, CT and Rosemary Thomas-Ward and a host of Grand Children, Great Grand Children and Great Great Grand Children. Life longs friends, Dolores Barross, Edwina Long, and Arthur Cogswell.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Colonial, 86 Circular Avenue. Viewing for family 2pm-4pm and friends 4pm-5:30pm. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
