Elwood Burnette

Elwood Burnette (Woody) was born in Washington DC on September 3, 1933. He retired from the state of CT. Elwood was an active member of Zion Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was a Purple Heart RC and a member of the VFW Post 135. He moved to North Carolina and joined the VFW of Gouldsboro Post 215. While in North Carolina, he became a member of Central Heights FWB church in November 2015, Pastor Isaac Burnett Junior.

Full Military Service for Mr. Elwood Burnette will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at Zion Baptist Church 137 Pearl Street, Waterbury, CT. Calling Hours 10am-11am. Funeral service is at 11am. Burial will be at a later date. Funeral services have been entrusted to Colonial Funerals 270 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT and James R. Sanders, Funeral Director.
