Mrs. Emma L. Isley (Edwards), 88 of Waterbury passed away at home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Mrs. Isley was born on December 1, 1933 in Henderson, North Carolina to the late McSerly and Lessie (Currence) Edwards and was the window of Cathaniel “Bob” Isley. Mrs. Isley was educated in North Carolina and moved to Waterbury, Connecticut, in which she was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Waterbury Hospital for 37 years. Mrs. Isley enjoyed her retirement years surrounded by her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Isley also enjoyed during her retirement listening to music, singing, and scratching lottery tickets. Mrs. Isley leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Antoinette Isley of Waterbury and one stepdaughter Debra Brown of Greensboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Nikea Isley, Allen Isley, and Kendra Isley of Waterbury. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Isley was pre-deceased by daughter Pamela Isley and two brothers Marion Edwards and Phillip “Butch” Parker Sr. Most would describe Mrs. Isley “as to know her is to love her.”
