Erwin Tart

Erwin Tart, age 38 of New Haven CT, entered eternal rest on Sunday December 9, 2018 at YNHH (St. Raphael’s Campus). Born on September 29, 1980, in New Haven CT, son of and Joanne Tart the late Erwin Sheppard, of New Haven CT. Father of Winter and Chyna Smith of Rocky Mount NC, Allen Tart, Deon Robinson, Maz’jae Westley, Jordan Tart, and Anari Tart of New Haven CT. He also leaves behind sisters; Gwendaline Tart, Carla Morris, Lorraine Ormond, Zakita Sheppard, Briana Sheppard, brothers; Allen Sheppard and Travis Sheppard. Erwin also leaves to cherish his memory his grandmother Julia Holland, aunts Ellen (Hector) Cotto and Elizabeth Brogdon, uncle Warren (Patricia) Tart. Nephew, Devon Tart, cousins Nathan Tart, Marcus Tart, Hector Cotto, Malik Tart and Jule Brogdon. Erwin also leaves a host of friends and relatives. Predeceased by one brother Allen Tart

A Celebration of Erwin’s life will be held on Friday December 14 ^th , 2018 at 11:00 am at Colonial, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Family will be receiving guest at the Elks Lodge, 87 Webster Street New Haven, CT. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
