Eugene Albright was born on December 24, 1939, in Savannah, Georgia. He later traveled and made his home in New Haven, Connecticut. Eugene entered eternal rest on December 27, 2025, in Waterbury, Connecticut.
He was the beloved son of the late Estella Foster Albright and Robert Albright.
Eugene was a hardworking man who truly lived the American dream.
He dedicated many years of service to sanitation, retiring after a long and honorable career. Through his work, he provided for his family and served his community with pride. In his retirement, Eugene enjoyed traveling the world and embracing life to the fullest.
A devoted Christian, Eugene lived his life rooted in faith, love, and compassion. He was known for helping everyone he encountered simply because that was the kind of man he was. When someone told him they loved him, his response was always the same: "One love."
Eugene was a proud father of three daughters, Kiamesha Albright and Shakena Albright, Chatina Albright one son, Barnard Albright. He was also a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren.
Eugene was the foundation of generations within his family. His strength, guidance, and sacrifices laid the groundwork for those who came after him. His legacy of love, faith, and unity will live on forever.
A celebration of Eugene's life will be held on Saturday January 17, 2025 at 11am at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
