Felicia Jones, age 58, transitioned peacefully at home on December 22, 2025 among family in New Haven, CT.
Felicia Ann Jones, also known as “Lisa”, was born on August 23, 1967 in Mobile, Alabama to the parents of Leno and Catherine Jowers. At an early age Felicia relocated with her mother and sisters to New Haven, Connecticut where she matriculated through the New Haven Public School system and later graduated from Wilbur Cross High School with the class of 1984. After high school, Felicia went on to become a certified nursing assistant working for many different health care systems throughout New Haven including Yale New Haven Hospital. Nonetheless, Felicia was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was the life of the party and danced every chance she got. She will be remembered for her famous twerk dance that she displayed at every family function. To know her was to know that she spoke her mind but loved everyone in her own special way. Felicia loved the lord and she kept him with her every step of her journey throughout her life. She would talk to him daily and acknowledged him for the many victories she won while on earth including being a cancer survivor.
Felicia leaves to cherish her memories and legacy, her husband, Jymeson Jones. Two children: William Jowers, and Shana Jones. Grandchildren: Finesse Jowers, Lytrell Jowers, Tyreese Jowers, Tyreana Jones, My’Kavion Jones and Bronté Brown. Her Siblings: Brenda Pearson, Linda Jowers and Catherine Naylor (special niece) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Felicia was predeceased by both parents, Leno Jowers and Catherine Jowers. Sisters, Patricia Jowers and Cynthia Jowers and Son, Tyreese Jones.
A Celebration of Felicia's Life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
