Franklin R. Wells Sr.

Franklin R. Wells, was born on November 11, 1934 to the late Alfred and Marie Wells in New Haven, CT. He entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2021 at the Grimes Center. Franklin worked at Sargent and Co. for 46 years. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Daisy Wells for 47 years. A son Franklin Wells Jr. Two granddaughters Tanya Williams Richardson (Perriot) Hamden, Motrice Williams New Haven, CT. Two brothers William Petaway (Essie) Hamden, CT and Leroy Petaway, Los Angeles, CA. Three sisters Dorothy Mooring, Gloria Robinson of New Haven, CT, Ruby McKiver (Tim) of West Haven, CT. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Inez Petaway Jaynes, Ramos Conley and (Dolores Outlaw) Brother Wilber and Nath. The family would like to thank the Grimes Center and YNHH for their endless hours of care.

A Celebration of Franklin’s life will be held on Thursday June 24, 2021 at Colonial, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Hamden Plains Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
