Gaytrie Rambjoo

Gaytrie Rambjoo 79 passed away in her sleep on Thursday April 3rd 2024 at Montefiore after a long battle with her ailment Gaytrie was born in Port Mourant East Berbice Corentyne to Budram Badri & Rosa Badri she completed primary middle and high school in Guyana and she was married to Harry Persud Rambjoo Harry was a cane cutter & Gaytrie managed some of their small business and by working together they were able to buy a house in Guyana and they later had one child Gaytrie and Harry were a loving couple and together they even raised multiple of Gaytrie Nieces and Nephew as their own children all things were good in Guyana though they wanted more so they moved to the neighboring country of Suriname where they resided for over a decade. Later in her life after she became a widow she never remarried she also became a grandmother and she set off for The United States Of America to be with her Daughter and Grandchildren although she visited a few States but she preferred to reside in New York State Gaytrie was a loving wife and mother and a caring grandmother and great grandmother.

A celebration of Gaytrie’s life will be held on Monday April 15, 2024 at Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am.
