George William Bennett- His Life Began March 9th, 1947
In Brooklyn, New York To the late Shirley Clark & Gaylord Bennett. He Went Home To Be With The Lord Peacefully January 25th,2023.
George Received His formal education through Brooklyn, New York school system, and graduated high school. He Then became self employed and decided to explore his talents in construction and during his spare time he practiced art. He was known as cool because he had a gift of gab (Smooth Talker) He Could sell water to a wale! He was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, loud talker, and George wasn’t himself if he wasn’t talking his trash. Most importantly he loved his family if nobody else told us we looked good, he made sure he did! ( “Looking Good Girl”) ( “ Looking Good Man”).
He later went on and met ( the late) Amanda Gaston with whom he shared 3 children with Shirley Bennett, Tanya Miles ( Daniel) & Latisha Sorrells. Amanda and George Were together for a while & later separated.
In 1970 he then met ( The late) Betty Jean Brown and shared 6 children Dawn Brown, Dwayne Brown ( Ayesha), Danielle Aiken ( Randy), Desiree Brown, Cynthia Bennett, George Bennett ( Kimberly).

Then Came his grandchildren Desirea Brown, Craig Gooden, Tiona Dalton, Anika Glover, Tyliek Miles, Dominique Aiken, Rasheen Johnson, Travis Dalton, Anthony Alston, Caleb Miles, Ajalei Brown, Randy Aiken Jr, Stella Bennett, Vickey Bennett, Antanasia Baez, Messiah Denny, Anta’neece Brown, Dwayne Brown Jr, Nasir Brown, & King Lacks.
George Leaves Behind a host of 12 great grand children, Sisters/ Brothers In Law, Family & Friends.
A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023 at 11am at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden CT 06514. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
