George Edward Clark

George Edward Clark, 66 of West Haven, CT born in New Haven, CT September 4, 1955 to the late Oscar Clark Sr. and Helen (Morgan) Clark. He passed away May 18, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, CT. George was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of West Haven, CT. He worked at the New Haven Register as a Machine Operator and also served in several other positions.

George affectionately known as “Georgie” strived to live his life according to Christian principles. He was born and raised at Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C.  He later attended Gospel Temple Church under the leadership of his brother, Pastor Oscar Clark, Jr., 5 ½ Hazel Street in New Haven, CT. George decided to recommit his life to Christ in 2017. He later became a member of Cornerstone Christian Center.  George often spoke about his appreciation of the mission of Cornerstone and their dedication to intentionally extend unconditional love and relief through acts of service to those who were suffering and to the underserved, something he was very passionate about.

George valued family, he found joy in speaking with his grandsons, listening to music, reading the Bible, and watching game shows.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Marcus (Heather) Miller of Columbus, Ohio and his daughter, Trisha Miller of West Haven, 3 sisters Delores (James) Brown of Kansas City, Missouri, Evelyn (Thomas) Murray of New Haven, and May (James) Brantley also, of New Haven. 2 Brothers Henry Clark of West Haven and Joseph (Jackie) Clark of Elizabethtown NC, and two grandchildren, Princeton and Jonah Miller as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his parents Oscar Clark, Sr. and Helen (Morgan) Clark, and two brothers, Oscar Clark, Jr. and David Lee Clark.

A Celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden, CT 06514 Calling hours: 9:00am – 10:00am Service: 10:00am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
