George Lee Everette was born on September 14, 1966, to his late father, George Hanson, and his late mother, Annie-Belle Pearse-Everette. He was lovingly raised by his grandparents, the late Ivy and Ruth Hanson, along with the care and support of his surviving stepmother, Otelia Hanson.

George peacefully departed this life on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his lifelong partner, Sharolyn Moore.

He enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events, spending time with his grandchildren, relaxing at the Mudhole, and riding around in his beloved Ford F-150. A devoted sports fan, George proudly supported the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Philadelphia 76ers, and, of course, the Dallas Cowboys.

Known by many names throughout his life—Dad, Candyman, Son, Uncle, and Pop Pop—George always made one thing clear. If you knew his favorite saying, then you knew that "his name is George!

George leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his children, Parrish Pittman and Kandie Everette; his stepchildren, Alisha Moore, Jarvis Moore, Keisha Mabery-Jeffreys, Neisha Jeffreys, William Mabery, Sharese Mabery, and Shavar Bellamy; and his bonus children, Ebony and Ja'son Pittman. He is also survived by his brothers, Willie Pearse and Rodney Hart.

George was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Barbara-Ann Pearse-Mabery, and his brothers, John Everette, Jessie Everette, and George Moore.

George was deeply loved by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his presence. His love, laughter, wisdom, and unforgettable personality will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
