Gerald Moore Jr. “Jay” passed on January 1st 2025 surrounded by his family. Jay was born October 9th 1979 to the late Gerald Moore Sr and Karen Moore. Jay was born & raised in New Haven, CT. Jay was most passionate about basketball and music. He loved playing basketball and was a diehard Chicago Bulls fan. He idolized the legendary Chicago Bull Michael Jordan. He was a music enthusiast and created music under the artist pseudonym “RYPA the Transparent Exorcist”. In addition to these two passions Jay greatly enjoyed the company of his family and friends.

Jay was predeceased by his father Gerald Moore Sr. & by his mother Karen Moore. He leaves behind a sister Biyonka Mendez, brothers Frank Moore Sr. and Shaun Moore Sr. along with many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends he made throughout his life.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 22 ,2025 At 10am-12pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden, Connecticut 06514. Burial to follow at Centerville Cemetery of Hamden. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
