Geraldine “Missy” Brown Morgan

Geraldine “Missy” Brown Morgan 80, of Atlanta Georgia and formally of Waterbury entered her heavenly home on July 23, 2024 suddenly at home. She was the widow of Donnery Morgan.

Missy was born December 13, 1943 in Waterbury and was the youngest child of the late James Willie and Louise (Petty) Brown. She graduated from Wilby High School class of 1961. Prior to her moving to Georgia in 2000 she worked at Uniroyal and Southbury Training School. While in Georgia she worked for Sunrise Assisted Living and was loved by her clients as their Home Health Aide for many years. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching basketball on TV, enjoyed shopping, socializing with her neighbors and Gospel programs on YouTube.

Missy is survived by her grand daughters Erica Swain, Lakea Brown and Chayna Brown. Three great grandchildren, Amari Kenney, Camryn Kenney and Ava Kenney all of Waterbury. Her brother William Stanley (Lynell) Brown of Waterbury; Three nieces Michele Brown-Allen of New Britain; Tanya Brown of Waterbury and her special niece Kimberly(Raphael) Nuonum of Atlanta, Georgia. Former sister-in-law Rosie Brown of Waterbury. Three nephews William Stanley Brown Jr. of San Diego, California; Shawn Brown and Derek Brown both of Waterbury. And a host of cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her son Wayne Eric Brown; brother James “Chuda” Brown; sister Carolyn(Brown) Ormsby; brother- in- law Charles Ormsby and nephew Kevin Ormsby.

A memorial services for Geraldine “Missy” Brown Morgan will be held on Friday August 30, 2024 at Colonial Funerals 270 West Main Street at 11am with burial to follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
