Gordon R. Mead

Gordon R. Mead, age 68, of Hamden, entered into eternal life on Sunday February 4, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on May 24, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Russell and Winifred (Salvati) Mead. Beloved husband of Laura E. (LeBlanc) Mead of Hamden for 18 years. Cherished father of Tracey Mead of NC., and Ralph Mead of FL. Stepfather of Chad Nimons of FL., Justin Hirtler of Milford, and Angelika (Randy) Roswell of NC. Loving grandfather of Erick Mead of West Haven, Genai Tillery of NC., Alesandra Chiclana of NC., and Vanessa Chiclana of NC. Also survived by 2 step-grandchildren Tyler and Sadie Nimons of FL. Loving brother of Dorothy Antonino of TX., Gary Mead (Christina) of North Haven, Laura Mead-Morales of Branford. Predeceased by one brother Kenneth Mead. Gordon loved playing golf and going to the racetrack. He was an avid New York Giants fan. Gordon loved all his kids and more importantly was loved by all his kids.
