Granville Oral Edwards

Granville Oral Edwards went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2024. Granville lived in New Haven, Connecticut near his family and had originally immigrated to the United States in 1970 from his home country of Jamaica W.I. where he was born, on August 28, 1965, in the city of Kingston. Granville previously worked for many years at Yale New Haven Hospital. After high school, Granville attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Granville is survived by his siblings, Orel Hawley, Carl Edwards, and Carol Coles, of Connecticut, Margaret Gibson of New York, and Orville Edwards of Jamaica, W.I. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Granville is predeceased by his parents, Maxie and Meleita Edwards, and sister, Rose-Marie Graham.

A Celebration of Granville’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Avenue Hamden, Connecticut at 12pm (Noon). Viewing in Colonial from 11am-12pm. Condolences maybe expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
