Harold Isaac Weeks

Harold Isaac Weeks was born on January 12, 1935, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Rose L. Weeks (Andrews) and Isaac Leonard Weeks. He passed away on July 18, 2026, at his home, at the age of 91.

Harold was educated in the New Haven public school system and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School. He went on to build a career as an architectural engineer, working for Hubbard, Lawless and Osborn before ultimately retiring from Jensen and Rogan in New Haven. Among his proudest professional achievements, Harold served as an instrumental lead on the construction of Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, a landmark project that stands today as a testament to his skill and dedication.

In 1962, Harold married Sarah Curry, and together they raised two sons, Robert Charles Weeks and Stephen Isaac Weeks. Harold was the patriarch of the Weeks family — the last living sibling of seven — and as his brothers passed on, he stepped into the role of father figure for his nieces and nephews, offering the same steady guidance and care he gave his own sons. A dedicated member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Harold served faithfully as a Deacon. He had a deep love of music, especially gospel and early Motown, and a deep love of nature and architecture, often taking long drives around New Haven simply to enjoy the scenery he had spent his career studying and shaping. In retirement, he became the family historian, devoting himself to ancestry research and preserving extensive records of the Weeks family lineage for generations to come. He was also a devoted Detroit Lions fan. Harold was known as a soft-spoken gentleman who would give you the shirt off his back — yet at the same time, he was no-nonsense, with a quiet strength that anchored his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose L. Weeks (Andrews) and Isaac Leonard Weeks; his siblings, Robert Weeks, Roger Weeks, Walter Weeks, Edward Weeks, Leonard Weeks, and Samuel (Allen) Weeks; and special nephew David Weeks. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Robert Weeks (Moniquecolous) and Stephen Weeks of Tennessee; grandchildren Robert Weeks Jr., Dennis Conyers Jr., and Jabary Conyers of Tennessee, Vaughn Johnson of Virginia, and Mahogany Milton of Georgia; special niece and nephews Tanya Smith-Long (George), Gary Weeks, and Roger Weeks of New Haven; his longtime caretaker turned family, Travis Hallett; and a host of other nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

Harold left a deep impact on all the lives he touched and will be missed dearly.
